WINNING CONTRACT COMPETITIONS

To enjoy the opportunity to make money on a project a firm must first prepare a proposal or bid that results in the award of the contract. With our experience, we can assist the competing firm in preparing proposals or bids with the highest chances of success, as we have for other clients (including on major State and local procurements). Since we have reviewed hundreds of proposals and bids in our practice, we know what works and what does not. We can also help recognize when the project specifications create an uneven playing field and work with you to get them changed.

However, sometimes submitting a successful proposal or bid to the Government is not enough. If a competitor protests the award, the awarding agencies simply do not have the staff or time to protect the intended awardee's interests adequately. Therefore, we can step in to help prevent the award from being overturned. Alternatively, if the agency erroneously intends to award the contract to our client's competitor as a result of a failure to follow stated evaluation criteria, regulations, or statutes, we can protest on our client's behalf to reverse the agency's decision.

If necessary, our services can continue throughout the performance of the contract. We assist our clients in resolving disputes, claims, and questions of contract and legal interpretation with the agency should any arise during performance of the contract.

We hope that the above information is helpful to your firm. If we can be of any service in any particular procurement or project which you are performing, please let us know.
